SeniorsMatter.com is an online community dedicated to enhancing the knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness of senior caregivers by providing objective information, guidance, training and the latest developments on senior caregiving through our virtual platforms.
We believe that professional senior caregivers should be compensated fairly, treated with respect and offered continuing education and training along with opportunities for career advancement.
We believe that family caregivers need objective information about choices that they must make in caring for the person that they have responsibility for and that information should not be biased based on the profit motives of the writer.
We believe that an educated and connected caregiver is a better caregiver.
We also encourage all caregivers to understand and subscribe to the Caregiver’s Bill of Rights.
SeniorsMatter.com Now and Tomorrow
As we build an information and resource base for Caregivers, we also are building a strong community of followers who view caregiving as a responsibility that can be enhanced and improved through education and training. We believe the caregiving profession for too long has not been properly defined. Too often it is viewed as a nursing type position or, worse, as a baby sitter. When performed properly, caregiving can not only enhance the life of the senior but also provide many other benefits for society.
Coming soon we will offer senior caregiving apps, training, job boards and more for professional and family caregivers.
Who We Are
At SeniorsMatter.com we are a team of individuals working towards the same goal: to enhance the knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness of senior caregivers by providing objective information, guidance, training and the latest developments on senior caregiving.
SeniorsMatter.com was conceived and started by Joy Meason Intriago, a professional with years of experience in building other publishing, education, training, information and certification organizations. Ms. Intriago launched SeniorsMatter.com to help build and elevate professionalism for Caregivers and bring much-needed respect to persons who make a living as a Caregiver or serve as unpaid Caregivers for the benefit and in the service of a family member.
Contact us for partnering opportunities
We invite our extended community to share your ideas of how we might work together. We are looking for proposals on blogs, educational programs, resources for our members and aging-in-place technology updates. We can disseminate them widely for the benefit of our seniors and their Caregivers. Please feel free to contact any one our staff members to discuss the many opportunities we offer for engaging with us.
